    Prof. Sacco is author of more than 270 publications in the field of stroke and headache. She is the president elect of the European Stroke Organisation and second vice-president of the European Headache Federation (EHF). She is currently the chief editor for the Headache and Neurogenic Pain section in Frontiers in Neurology, associate editor for the Journal of Headache and Pain, assistant editor for Stroke and member of the editorial board of Neurology. She has chaired the EHF guideline on the use of monoclonal antibodies targeting the calcitonin gene-related peptide for migraine prevention, the EHF consensus on resistant and refractory migraine and the EHF consensus on triptan non-responders.

    She tirelessly and passionately advocates for people living with headache disorders in the workplace and beyond, with her advocacy career beginning in Spain. She also co-led the creation of the World Headache and Migraine Alliance, a patient-led coalition open to patient groups around the world. She has co-authored several publications, and her list of current advocacy work is extensive, including the “My Migraine Voice” global survey, the European “Migraine at Work” and “Access to Care” surveys, and the “Migraine Matters” project.

His recent research interests include the biological and structural changes of trigeminal ganglion neurons in migraine pathogenesis, functional interactions between TRP channels, and cortical spreading depolarization biology.

    He is the current president of the European Headache Federation (EHF) and also serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Headache and Pain (JHP). Prof. Lampl’s research is focused on the epidemiology and burden of headache; migraine aura as a possible risk factor for migraine headache; and headache, with a focus on elderly people. He has published numerous articles and contributed to several book chapters. Prof. Lampl is an ad hoc reviewer for journals such as Cephalalgia, JHP, Headache, Clinical Journal of Pain, Journal of Neurology and European Journal of Neurology.

    Dr Parikh is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. Her specific interests in headache medicine include spontaneous spinal cerebrospinal fluid leak, migraine, and migraine and pregnancy, on which she has published several papers. Dr Parikh is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society and International Headache Society, and serves on the medical advisory board of the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation. She is also interested in medical education and is the programme director of the Advanced Headache Diagnosis and Management Certificate Program at Thomas Jefferson University.
