Alexander Rae-Grant

Alexander Rae-Grant, MD, FRCP(C), FAAN, serves as director of education for the Mellen Center for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and is a past
medical director for the Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education and past acting director for the Center for Brain Health at the
Cleveland Clinic. He is the neurology editor for DynaMed Plus, a web-based point of care tool for clinical medicine. He is a professor of
medicine (neurology) at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He is author or coeditor of eight textbooks on neurology and MS. He
received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Yale University and his medical degree from the McMaster University Medical
School. He obtained his neurology residency from the University of Western Ontario. He co-chaired an American Academy of Neurology
(AAN) panel developing quality measures for MS and served on the National Quality Forum Neurology Standing Committee. He serves
on the AAN Guideline Development Dissemination and Implementation Committee, and was the lead author for the AAN’s guideline on
disease-modifying therapy for MS.
