    Dr Patricia Pozo-Rosich

    Dr Patricia Pozo-Rosich is a specialist in neurology. She is head of section of the Neurology Department, director of the Headache and Neurological Pain Clinical Unit and director of the Migraine Adaptive Brain Center at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain. read more

    Dr Pozo-Rosich is also the coordinator of Brain, Mind & Behaviour eCORE and group leader and principal investigator at the Headache Research Laboratory at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR), which is affiliated to the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is the honorary secretary of the International Headache Society (IHS) and a member of the scientific advisory board of the Lilly Foundation in Spain.

    Dr Pozo-Rosich is the editor of the headache section of Revista de Neurologia, an associate editor of Cephalalgia, Headache, NeurologÍa and Frontiers in Neurology, and a member of the editorial advisory board of The Journal of Headache and Pain.

    Dr Pozo-Rosich’s research focuses on better understanding the pathophysiology of migraine from a multidisciplinary approach using genetics, neuroimaging and electrophysiology. She is a member of the International Headache Genetics Consortium (IHGC). She has been the principal investigator of more than 50 phase II, III and IV clinical trials, and has edited guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of headache.

    Dr Pozo-Rosich educates neurologists, other physicians and patients with the goal of improving the quality of life of patients suffering from headache and helping reduce the stigma of migraine.

    She is the founder and developer of the Spanish website for patients and physicians www.midolordecabeza.org, which is dedicated to headache.

    Ms Audrey Craven

    Migraine Association of Ireland (MAI), Dublin, Ireland

    Audrey Craven is the founder and president of the Migraine Association of Ireland (MAI), and is an internationally acknowledged patient advocate for migraine. read more

    A lifelong migraineur, she is committed to sharing hard-won experience of migraine self-management in the hope of improving quality of life for all those affected.

    Ms Craven currently serves as vice chair of the European Brain Foundation (EBC) and is a steering group member of the International Headache Society’s Global Patient Advocacy Coalition (IHS-GPAC).

    She is the past president of both the European Migraine and Headache Alliance (EMHA) and the European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA), and was the patient representative on the European Commission’s ‘Healthy Brain; Healthy Europe’ scientific board for European Month of the Brain 2013.

    Ms Craven has been involved in the development of the Headache Pathway in Ireland’s Health Service Executive’s Neurology Clinical Programme, the World Headache Alliance (WHA), the Patients’ and Consumers’ Working Party at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and is a founding member and former chairperson of the Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI). She was a member of the neurological expert advisory board that produced the three standards of care documents that recommended new health care strategies for neurological conditions in Ireland.
